In 2001, Ready Fastener began manufacturing ball studs for automotive

applications through a combination of cold heading and a secondary machining operation with a Towa shaving machine.

The majority of ball studs we manufacture are used in conjunction with air spring dampeners that function as a lift assist for hoods, trunks, tailgates and van rear doors. Together we work alongside designers and manufacturers of automotive
sub-assemblies; primarily tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers. In addition to automotive applications, our ball studs can be used in the furniture and cabinetry industry, safety doors, and industrial machinery sound enclosures.

Over the past few years, Ready Fastener and their team of designers, machinists and suppliers have developed a unique process to manufacture ball studs that are proven to be stronger than traditional machined product. They also offer dramatically improved cycle times and use far less material than traditional ball studs.
